Laodicea Antique City, Kaklik Cave and Denizli Cable Car Tour

A Journey Through Biblical History and Panoramic Heights

This tour is perfect for those who want to see the “best of Denizli” in a single day. We combine the spiritual weight of Laodicea with the unique geology of Kaklik Cave and finish with some of the best views in the country from the Denizli Cable Car. At Puerto Travel, we love this itinerary because it offers a little bit of everything—history, nature, and relaxation—all while traveling in the comfort of our premium minivans.

What to Expect: We start with Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. It’s a massive site that was once a wealthy center for textiles and trade. You can still see the grandeur in its theaters and temples. Afterward, we head to Kaklik Cave, often called the “Pamukkale Underground,” where you’ll see white thermal terraces hidden inside a cave. To top it all off, we take a 7-minute ride up the mountain on the Denizli Cable Car to reach an altitude of 1400 meters for some fresh air and incredible photos.

Pick-up: We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Pamukkale or Karahayit. It’s a short drive to our first stop, so we can get started before the midday sun.

Exploring Laodicea: Our guide will take you through the ruins of this prosperous ancient city. You’ll see the Zeus Temple, the massive Stadium, and the ancient council building. Standing in the place mentioned in the Book of Revelation is a powerful experience, even if you aren’t a history buff.

Denizli Cable Car (Teleferik): Next, we head into Denizli city to catch the cable car. The 7-minute ride up the mountain is smooth and offers a bird’s-eye view of the entire valley. At the top, there are cafes and walking paths where you can enjoy the cool mountain breeze.

Kaklik Cave (Underground Pamukkale): After coming back down the mountain, we visit Kaklik Cave. It’s a completely different atmosphere—cool, damp, and filled with the sound of flowing mineral water. The white calcium cascades inside the cave look like something from an alternate reality.

Return Journey: After a full day of exploring history and enjoying the views, we’ll drive you safely back to your hotel in Pamukkale.
