Pamukkale meaning Cotton Castle in Turkish is UNESCO World Heritage site with beautiful unreal landscape adorned with mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and terraced basins called travertines. Also Hierapolis Antique city built right next to Pamukkale is a part of the world heritage site. White pools of Pamukkale made up with the calcium laden water coming from 17 underground water sources. In Hierapolis city, there is also a swimming pool full of hot waters of Pamukkale. It was the ancient healing center of Hierapolis. Today it is called Antique pool or Cleopatra’s Pool. There are original antique columns in the water and you can swim between that columns.

Hierapolis was quite a popular city during Hellenistic period and as excavations kept on a lot of  historical facts were unearthed. Today we know that noble and rich people of old times had been coming to Hierapolis to spend their last days in this peaceful city while treating their health problems with healing waters of Pamukkale. Also a temple built in the name of Apostle Philip (or Philip the Evangelist, it is not clear) is sited on the hill over Pamukkale. Hierapolis was also a wealthy trade center and famous with cloths and textiles. In early Christian Era, Hierapolis had an importance because of the tomb of St. Philip.

You will get to visit many ancient ruins such as Necropolis, Amphitheater, Temple of Apollo, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Agora and so much more. Especially Cleopatra pool in Hierapolis provides a unique experience to those who wish to enjoy the warm water among the ancient columns.

• You will be picked up from your hotel in Antalya at about around 8:00 am and drive you to Pamukkalale.
• Upon arrival, we will have alunch in a local restaurant.
•  We will visit Hierapolis antique city and see the key locations including the Necropolis,Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinus Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater  and Cleopatra’s Pool.
• After Hierapolis we will walk down through the travertine pools of Pamukkale and enjoy its warm water. You will have free time to take photos or lie down in terraces of white pools.
• After tour, we will drive you back to your hotel in Antalya.
