2 Days Pamukkale, Denizli Cable Car, Salda Lake ,Kaklık Cave Tour Details
Pamukkale, simply translated as ” cotton castle” is famous with white cascades of calcit are formed by the hot spring waters coming from 17 different sources from the area. You cannot swimm in knee deep terraces but there is a swimming pool, Cleopatra’s Pool filled with waters from Pamukkale and antique columns from Hierapolis Antique City. Pamukkale and Hierapolis is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Hierapolis Antique City has built right next to the healing pool of Pamukkale. Built by Seleucid Kings, the city has Pagan roots. Also there was a Jewish community in the city, then Hierapolis became one of the important cities of Christianity by the martry of St. Philip and the Tomb of St. Philip. Hierapolis was a leading city in arts, philosophy and trade, a wealthy city with cloths and textile trade. Today you can see Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinus Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater as well as the Cleopatra’s Pool which was a part of the ancient healing center.
Denizli Cable Car is a relatively new activity. It is a seven minutes ride up to Bagbashi Plateau with brand new cable cars to 1500 meters high from sea level. You can get a panoramic view of Denizli plains even see the lakes and Aegean sea. Also there are cafes, a picnic area and more facilities to spend quality time for families.
Salda Lake is a beautiful lake surrounded by white sandy beaches and white magnesium rocks, known as ” Maldives of Turkey”. The water is so clean and shades of blue and green are so beautiful, you will want to enjoy the scene and want to take million photos. Salda Lake became famous after a lake very similar to Salda Lake photographed on the surface of mars. You can spend time on the beach, swim in beautifully clear waters or take amazing photos around the lake.
Kaklik Cave is very similar to Pamukkale, have same calcium residues forming similar terraced basins and petrified waterfalls. Being underground, in a cave makes it feel like magical. Because of the similarities, people call it “Pamukkale Underground”
2 Days Pamukkale, Denizli Cable Car, Salda Lake ,Kaklık Cave Tour Program
Day 1: Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour (Lunch)
- We will meet you at Denizli Airport and drive you to Pamukkale for Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
- We will visit Hierapolis Antique City and see Necropolis, Roman Bahts, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinious Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater, Antique Pool.
- After Hierapolis, we will walk down to Pamukkale and spend time on white pools of Pamukkale. You can relax in hot waters of Pamukkale, take photos and enjoy this natural wonder.
- We will have lunch in a local resturant.
- After lunch we will visit Red Water Hot Springs in Karahayit and drive you to your hotel. Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 2: Denizli Cable Car, Salda Lake, Kaklik Cave Tour ( Breakast – Lunch)
- We will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast. We will drive to Denizli and take a cable car up to Bagbashi Plateau. You will have free time to explore and relax.
- After cable car, we will drive to Salda Lake. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will have free time to explore Salda Lake and take photos.
- Afterwards, we will drive to Kaklik Cave and visit “Pamukkale Underground”. After our visit to Kaklik Cave, we will drive you to Denizli Airport for your flight back to Istanbul.
